    ContinuumDAO Committee Election

    Dear ContinuumDAO Community,

First of all, many thanks to the outgoing Committee. This was an awesome start to our journey.

We are pleased to formally announce the forthcoming committee election process, a pivotal element within our decentralized governance model. The committee's role is paramount in steering the trajectory of ContinuumDAO, and your enthusiastic participation is imperative for the triumph of our community-driven initiatives.

    Committee Election Timeline:

    1. Nomination Period: April 1st to April 10th
      • During this time frame, community members are encouraged to nominate themselves or others to be considered for a position on the ContinuumDAO committee.
    2. Voting Period: April 15th to April 25th
      • Following the completion of the nomination process, the community will be allowed to cast their votes for their preferred candidates. Each vote contributes to the composition of a well-represented and diverse committee.
      • The objective is to elect seven nominees to assume committee responsibilities.
    3. Announcement of Results: April 25th to April 30th
      • The final results of the committee election will be disclosed, showcasing the individuals elected to serve on the ContinuumDAO committee. Successful candidates will assume pivotal roles in decision-making and governance processes.

    Functioning of the ContinuumDAO Committee:

The ContinuumDAO committee functions as the governing body responsible for pivotal decisions about the development, funding, and overall direction of our decentralized autonomous organization. Key responsibilities of committee members include:

    1. Uphold the Constitution of ContinuumDAO.
    2. Decision-Making: Active participation in discussions and voting on proposals impacting ContinuumDAO's projects, investments, and community initiatives.
    3. Community Representation: Striving to represent the diverse interests of the ContinuumDAO community, ensuring decisions align with the collective vision and values.
    4. Transparency: Operating with transparency, regularly communicating decisions and updates to the community, fostering trust and collaboration within our decentralized ecosystem.
    5. Project Oversight: Playing a crucial role in overseeing ongoing projects to ensure alignment with the Constitution and community benefits.
    6. Treasury Protection: The committee group will manage the multi-sig account for the distribution of the project budget and costs.
    7. Proposal Assistance: To maintain a stable protocol framework and a healthy treasury status. The Committee will help proposers formulate good proposals.
    8. Committee Payment: Each committee member will receive 200 USDC monthly for their responsibilities, which should take a total of about 6 hours per month of their time.

Your participation in this election process is instrumental in shaping the future of ContinuumDAO. We encourage all community members to actively engage in nominations, verifications, and voting to help form a committee that genuinely reflects the values and aspirations of our community.

Thank you for being an integral part of ContinuumDAO's decentralized governance journey.

    Sincerely,

    ContinuumDAO

Following my nomination for committee I will always do my best as a committee member to ensure the rules in the constitution are respected!! I have followed DCRM tech through a couple of project as a early investor and although I don’t have any experience in development as such I do feel the committee should be balanced between community and contributors and we shouldn’t limit ourselves by insisting on development experience my vision always is the most decentralised we can possibly be by creating a successful DAO

@John-CTM I would just like to clarify what I should of said is I do have little to no development experience but do have plenty of other skills in business etc that I feel would be an advantage to my role on the committee if I got elected I also feel I would help in future contribution in one of the guilds my post was a little misleading after reading again

If I am accepted for a Committee position, I will work hard to ensure that we are 100% decentralized. I will promote Continuum and its DAO tirelessly and I will try my best to increase our community, especially those who want to build with us and those who believe in our vision and Constitution.

For the Jerry's Committee Nomination, my focus will be on advancing project developments and meticulously planning each stage of the project, encompassing product design, project collaboration, and public relations, all in alignment with Continuum's Vision. Additionally, I am committed to ensuring that ContinuumDAO operates transparently and decentralized, while also strengthening communication among various contributors and DAO members.

I am writing to express my strong desire and enthusiasm to apply for the committee. I'm a former GCP employee, and I also have dedicated several years to deepening my knowledge in the field of blockchain. I have a profound passion for web3 and over 5 years of experience in blockchain development.

Before, I had the privilege of being involved in significant projects, including the development of secure distributed applications and smart contracts. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of blockchain and a firm belief in its limitless potential.

I hope to contribute my knowledge and expertise to Continuum committee, and actively contribute to the community. I firmly believe that through this platform, I will have the opportunity to collaborate with other industry experts and dedicated individuals to explore and promote the Continuum.

I am confident and determined to make a positive impact within the committee and bring forth new ideas and innovations to benefit our community. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you and the other members, and collectively driving the progress of blockchain, bringing more opportunities and advancements to our community.

For me, I am an organiser and facilitator. I have worked with technology delivery as a project manager for two decades. I am good at putting easy to understand jargon busting commentary.

I have always been a believer in leveraging cross-chain and transparency, two things this project is about. I believe the community needs organisers and put myself forward to help progress the Continuum movement.
